Appointments
Office visits are by appointment. Please
schedule them in advance by calling (520) 868-1400, extension 109
during normal office hours. Please give the person scheduling your
appointment as much detail as you can about your symptoms and reason
for visit. We will schedule an appointment adequate to treat the
symptoms discussed. The provider may ask you to schedule another
appointment for treatment of any other needs to avoid
inconveniencing patients who have appointments following yours.
We recognize that your time is valuable and,
therefore, we will try to see you in a timely fashion for your
scheduled appointment. Please try to arrive 15 minutes before your
scheduled appointment to allow time for updates to your contact
information, address, and insurance. Since our providers try to
spend the time needed with patients to prevent the need for
additional appointments, we can run late. Please be patient and
recognize that you will receive the same level of service when you
are seen.
If you cannot keep an appointment, please
notify us as soon as possible. You may be charged a fee if office
visits are not cancelled at least 24 hours prior to a missed
appointment.
Sick Visits
If you develop an urgent problem or illness,
please call the office. Walk-in visits are discouraged. One
unplanned walk-in can result in significant waits for patients with
scheduled appointments. Emergencies are typically best handled in
another setting (e.g. ER or Urgent Care) rather than MSFP, so please
call first so we can advise you on the best approach to ensure
appropriate medical care.
Office Hours
Our office is open for routine business Monday
through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and on Fridays, 7:00
a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Emergencies/After Hours
If you have a life-threatening emergency,
you should call 911 or go immediately to the nearest emergency room.
A provider is available 24 hours a day, seven
days a week. If you have an emergency after routine office hours,
please call (520) 868-1400. Our answering service will contact the
on-call provider.
Please use our after hours service only for
urgent or emergent problems. Prescription refills, appointment
scheduling, and long-term illnesses should be handled during routine
office hours.
Telephone Calls to Providers
Our phones are open during routine office
hours. We are happy to provide detailed written messages to
providers, however they do not have voicemail boxes. In general,
doctors cannot interrupt patient visits to answer your phone calls.
Messages will be returned as soon as possible, usually at the end of
the morning or afternoon after all appointments are finished.
Good medical care cannot always be accomplished over the phone, so
we may advise you to schedule an office visit to discuss your
concerns, problems, or test results. |
