Meet Our Providers
Dario L. Lizarraga,
M.D.
Dr.
Lizarraga is a fifth generation Florencian. He is a 1984 graduate of
Florence High School, received his Baccalaureate of Science in
Microbiology from the University of Arizona in 1989, and MD in 1997.
He completed his
residency at the Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix in 2000 and
began practice in Florence shortly thereafter.
In addition to
being owner, president and medical director for Main Street Family
Practice, he is medical director for Pinal County Public Health and
Hospice Compassus. He is also team physician for
Florence High School. Recently, he was named Chief of Staff for
Florence Community Healthcare, the new local hospital.
Dr. Lizarraga is
board certified in family medicine, and is the recipient of numerous
honors and awards. He is an adjunct faculty member for the
University of Arizona College of Medicine and for the Midwestern
University College of Medicine. He is an active member of the
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Florence. He is an
avid SCUBA diver, tri-athlete and bicyclist. He is married (Beth)
and has a daughter and son.
Marcee C. Wharton, P.A.–C.

Marcee
moved to Pinal County from Ohio in 2005 and joined Main Street
Family Practice in October 2006. She earned her Primary Care
Physician Assistant certificate in 1998 from Cuyahoga Community
College in Parma, Ohio where she graduated summa cum laude. Prior to
that she earned an associate degree of nursing from Kent State
University and worked as an RN for seven years in
a rehabilitation facility.
She
is married (Larry) and is an avid runner who competes in marathons.
Robert C.
Wakefield,
P.A.–C.
Robert
has called Florence “home” for most of his life. He graduated from
Florence
High School, earned his Associate Degree from Central Arizona
College in Early Childhood Education, and his Baccalaureate of Arts
in Liberal Studies with dual degrees in Psychology and Chemistry
from Northern Arizona University. He earned his Masters of Physician
Assistant Studies from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. He
joined Main Street Family Practice in September 2009.
Robert
is married (Lynnette) and enjoys fishing, hunting, skiing & archery.
