Free Invoice Maker
Add your line items and get a totalled invoice as a PDF or Word file.
What goes on an invoice
A customer needs to see who is charging them, for what, how much, and by when. That comes down to your name and contact details, the customer’s details, a unique invoice number, the issue and due dates, a line for each item with quantity and rate, and a total. Add your payment instructions in the notes box so nobody has to write back and ask.
How the sums work here
Each line is quantity times rate. A discount comes off the subtotal, tax is worked out on what remains, and shipping is added last without tax. If your tax rules work differently, enter the figures to suit or check with your accountant. Currency is only a label: this maker does not convert anything.
Numbering your invoices
Use a simple sequence that never repeats, such as INV-1001, INV-1002. Keep a copy of each file, because the maker does not store your invoices on any server. Your current draft is remembered only in this browser.
